America talks too much about itself, its achievements, desires, dreams, work, everything, while Europe and the rest are moderate/normal about that. More East you go you will see how people and nations talk less and less about themselves in such light. Its just the way it is, you should not feel offended.

Maybe it's cause the far east hasnt accomplished anything, which gives them reason naturally to less talk!

Russia express its patriotism inside Russian borders, it does not 'export' it. That's the difference.

If you mean filming Russian war movies and military parades, that just hit the media recently. Since Russia made international news outlets.

Not even Germany (except Nazi Germany or Imperial) claim to be number one, that have to maintain superiority and advantage over other nations although it have better system than America or rest of Europe, healthier economy, financials, politics. Which America does and that is just weird in the eyes of the World.

Well, there are few things Far East accomplished and its worth to brag about, like nanotechnology developed in Japan, then audio and video equipment from Japan was leading in the World in the 80's and 90's. JVC, Panasonic, Sony. Then car industry like Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Toyota, Nissan. Or brand in fishing industry like Daiwa, in sports Mikasa. Economic ideologies like Zaibatsu.

South Korea have Daewoo and Samsung, corporate giants producing and inventing in many fields. China invented compass, paper, gunpowder, slot machines, paper money. Things like Terracota Army, Great Wall and Porcelain Tower. Yet they don't brag, it's in their nature.

Oh sure... You maybe forgot that up until the 1700s Europe was just following in the footsteps of China? The only reason China didn't become the #1 global power as early as the 16th century is that they isolated themselves from the rest of the world.
Also, being humble is actually honourable in the far east unlike Europe. However, Russia does NOT belong to this group. Russia is as European and bragging as any other larger nation, like for example USA.

Modern Russia is very close to United States way of life. Which is weird looking from outside and within Russia also(no one would expect that). Russians like to have fun more than Europeans, just like Americans, while Europeans like to workworkwork and then go to sleep to rest for the new day to workworkwork.

But atleast i dream, being inbetween Germany and Japan we might learn to be workaholics like Germans and disciplined like Japanese... oh the prosperity...

Watched both movies and i understand what you mean.

But anyway, again, Russian exercising patriotism is different from propaganda and the rest people percieve in the West. Because Russians and other people of North Asia fought the Nazis 70 years ago. Nazi Germany was the deadliest war machine ever created on Planet Earth and we defeated it. We had 4 times as much casualties than Nazis but we won. Today not even we understand what happened and how we pulled it off, looking at machines we and enemy used, like tanks, battleships, submarines, telephones cables... million kilometers of cables... How we managed to produce in such a large numbers, with such speed and quality. Nation with no tanks managed to create t-34, KV-1 and IS tank in 5 years, then modern submarines, from nothing, from scratch. Russian Empire had 4 biplanes which barely fly to deliver mail, 20 years later USSR had Shturmoviks and Yak-3 holding superiority in the skies. How that happened so fast?

There lies Russian Patriotism.

Also, try not to mix it with Nationalism because that's false and not possible in multicultural, multiethnic, multilingual and multireligious country like Russia. Even Putin repeated old Russian proverb 'Nationalism is virus which attack weak organism', meaning we have to maintain healthy organism (sanity, reason, justice, freedom).



I'll end with the quote from Winston Churchill, i think it is appropriate with my text above and proves even Churchill was surprised with our WW2 achievements:

Chinese are famous for being robot-like, working mindlessly for small returns, enjoying less freedoms, crap standard of living, being cencored and pollute the fuck out of the planet. Americans are also famous for working ridiculous amount of hours and also have an insanely high percentage of people living under poverty. Not claiming Europe is perfect, far from, but atm you cant find a more balanced and equal system than Europe's. Imagine how shitty the rest of the world is.

He was talking about balance, not stability, there's the difference. Maybe Europe is more balanced than other parts of the World but - as you mentioned is not stable enough, historically speaking.
