Mafian leader is Don - The Boss leads Corporation

Mafia keep secrets inside the group, calling on the law of Omerta - Corporations keep secrets inside the group protected by contracts

Both have Underboss

Mafia have Consigliere for public relations(PR) and advisor - Corporations have lawyers

Both employ associates and recruit workers

Mafia fight for share of the illegal market - Corporation fight for share of the legal market

Mafia tend to get into legal business to speed up profit - Corporations tend to do illegal business on the side to speed up profit

Mafia use 'buyout' option to get control of the business - Corporations use option 'investment'

Mafia have the Commission - Corporations have stock market

Both use murder to reduce obstacles

Mafia bribe politicians and police to ignore them - Corporations give 'donations' and 'charity' to politicians to support laws excluding corporations from paying taxes

When other mafia syndicate refuse to do a favor, they start a Mob War to settle differences - When one company refuse to do a favor to a corporation, corporation use national army and the government to invade the country where company is located and bomb it




But nevermind me, let's test political ideologies and enjoy the corporations/mafia 'protection'.

Even if you do find enough evidence to charge, their money are so deep into corrupted politicians pockets, through "legal" channels aka campaign contributions and etc that nothing really ever happens.

Bring back mafias.

Mafia is organization with ranks and planning, not necessarily engaged in illegal entreprises. Almost every country have laws protecting freedom of gathering.

Most of the (large) mafia organizations are now legal as they have registered companies, shares in corporations and lawyers. Just like any other legal entreprise.

During 50s most of them had long-term plan to stop illegal business and go into legal, thus creating Las Vegas, casinos, gambling, investing in Cuba, Atlantic City, Florida, Los Angeles movie studios. Most of them succeeded like Genovese family for example.

You say evidence about mafia crime is easy to collect and find, but why then US court rely only on mafia defector's testimony to use against the mafia? You can't find videos, sound recording or papers proving mafia involvement in crime. I am talking about serious Mafia, like Five Families, not street italian gangs like Sopranos, raiding trucks and extorting small shops.

I will use example from the Godfather movie, and although it is a film, that doesn't mean it didn't happen in real life (Kefauver hearings): When Michael Corleone was accused of murder and many other crimes, his caporegime was about to testify and he knew everything about Michael and Corleones business. He made fun of the hearings when his brother arrived to remind him of Mafia laws.

What if i tell you that Mafia own some corporations, and thus are indirectly involved in bribing of politicians and officials, pursuing certain laws and agenda.

Today, they compete with banking dynasties and industralists, like Rothschild and Rockefeller.
