Sapien

Rewrite our shared history the way you want to.

Sapien is no ordinary map, it is a map where you progress through the ages as the empire of your choosing. Every single country in the map will eventually get their own unique unit(s). Depending on where you start you may get worse units (until the modern age when everyone begins to modernize.)

Play as one of the Greeks and become the next Basileus Megale.
Conquer the Mediterranean as the Romans and make your legions feared.
Colonize the natives as the Spanish or Portugese with your carracks or conquistadores.
Take control of the Jamestown settlers and lead your tiny colony to world hegemony.
Spread the Islamic faith as the Arabs and make sure Tours does not repeat itself.

The possibilities are endless my fellow Afterwinders. Any country you pick can be led to world domination. Each era is four turns and they are the Prehistoric era, Ancient era, Classical era, Medieval era, Renaissance era, Industrial era, and the Modern era. Future era will come eventually. The game is ideally played with 20 people with joining limit set to 99. As empires fall new empires can form from the ruins. Strategies should be turned off as they can interfere with the units Sapien has.

That concludes my description of the game, here are some screenshots. Borders are not finished.

Really nice unit catalog, wish europe was more divided since the first 8 turns of the game are really slow due to lack of unit range.

Well the first 8 turns are the prehistoric and ancient eras and this was the largest empire in ancient times:



So every empire before turn 9 should be less than or slightly bigger than that.

Europe is not divided more because each division is supposed to represent an empire/civilization. If you can give me some ideas I would be glad to implement them. Germany is already getting a split.

I love this map

Please post below any empires that you would like to see special attention to and why, and, if you want, a unique unit for them! I will try to incorporate any suggestions into the game.

It is currently under very heavy development. When I'm done it will be republished and include many new features

A week or so, it is A LOT of work.



I have to scroll down that list and individually add each country to said list. It is boring and tedious and I have to do it for five pages of units. Lord have mercy on this man's soul ;~;

It is a map so you can play as long as you want.

No there is still some work to be done in the units. Unril that is done there will only be a few test games. When done each region will get its own units. For example, Japan will get Samurai style units, Africa its unlimited amount of cheap spearmen, the Steppes will get their horseman and India its elephants. No two regions will feel the same.

Also maybe divid MongolianKhanate into diffrent tribes but im not actually sure about that one
