For good comparison i'll post party membership in some other countries;
Russia:
United Russia: 2,000,000
Liberal Democrats: 600,000
Communist Party: 500,000
Fair Russia: 400,000
Other parties: 500,000
Total: 4,000,000
China:
Communist Party: 90 million
America:
Democratic Party: 40 million
Republican Party: 30 million
Total: 70,000,000
Taking in consideration that America have 320 million citizens, this mean every second working-age American is party member!
Even if compared to highly politicized & ideological historical countries, America is still on top of the list per percentage:
USSR: 290 million citizens, 20 million party members = 7% of total population
Nazi Germany: 65 million citizens, 8 million party members = 12% of total population
Fascist Italy: 43 million citizens, 6 million party members = 13% of total population
America: 320 million citizens: 70 million party members = 21% of total population
China: 1.37 billion citizens: 90 million party members = 6% of total population
Russia: 145 million citizens: 4 million party members = 3% of total population
This is clear indication America have the most politicized society which is shock atleast to me because Europe and Russia are known for high politicization of various spheres of life i.e. Greek Crisis, Portuguese Elections, Spanish Crisis, Italian Politics, German leftist-nazi clashes.
Take in mind that i only used 2 American parties ignoring the minor ones and their party membership.

How is joining a party 'participating in a democratic system'? I thought voting is participating in demsys. I don't like to crush young peoples dreams, but the truth is they join parties to get a job, because it is easier to get a job in the State, provided by the ruling party than risking in the economy... you have to study, have good grades, then candidate for job in some corporation where competition is warlike. Simply join party, vote for it and advertise it among local community, then when they win elections, they place you in some beaurocratic position and voila, you got yourself a 3 hour job, 12 coffees a day and a female co-workers to grope. That's why America have 30 million members in the ruling party, that's why Russia have 2 million members in the ruling party and that's why China have 80 million members in the ruling party.

Our systems works diferently apparently in the united states all voters are party members and tallied as such when voting for president or other major office, not every person who belongs to a party is employed by said party and is on pay roll. There is less then 10 million payed party members in the United states, although you can hold offices and be aligned to a party but be on government pay roll rather then party payroll.

In tbe united states parties recieve 0 tax dollars, they are funded souly by donations, lobbyists, and rich high ranking members. No party recieve income from the state.

Except it was proven in leaked emails that the dnc rigged the primaries against him, so no matter how much support it was more then hillary.

He would have lost to Trump regardless. Neither Sanders nor Clinton had black support. Clinton had the female vote and without that Sanders would have had even less votes than Clinton, especially in key areas where Trump was winning from lower-middle class White Americans who liked his economic protectionist policies which Sanders had no intention of pushing. Sanders was trash, he was setup to give Clinton legitimacy. DNC leaks showed that Clinton wanted someone like Sanders as opposition to bounce off and for someone like Trump to radicalize the Right to seem off putting to the general population. It backfired heavily. The arrogance of the elites underestimated public anger and the Wests path toward demagoguery. They genuinely had no idea that the Silent Majority held views that Trump promoted.
