Return sport to the people, return teams to local communities its name bears. I'm sick and tired watching Liverpool vs Barcelona and 80% of players are bla...i mean foreigners. When i watch match between Liverpool and Barcelona, i want to see liverpoolians vs barcelonians, not some dragged players from the who knows what corner of the world. Capitalism took teams from the people, privatising them. Like Liverpool doesn't have 20 people who WANT and CAN play football?

They are bringing players from other clubs and leagues for professional reasons, you have hundreds of clubs for locals only in every majors city in Europe, but when you go competitive very few stick to it (look athletic bilbao for example).

There are 2 description for professionalism: 1. Be paid for doing something thus making that job your profession 2. Do something long enough becoming good at, thus being called professional So local people can be professionals by simply playing the sport they like. No need to bring foreigners and pay them for that.

well in my opinion, sport professionalism means striving for improving and fit yourself to the competitive area with all the efforts and means that you can put to fit themselves to the highest standarts and above. the professional (or over/ultra competitive) football club do everything they can to maximum their profits and/or improving their team, each club has diffrent balance, but they all are looking forward.

That's why football was much better in the 70's. They didnt tacticize or plan, they simply played and were much more competitive. It was even fun to watch. It was always excited. and today i feel like doing seppuku when i watch Italy playing... how many goals you see on those matches? None because they only pass the ball to each other for 90 minutes and then give 1 in 93rd minute.

Agreed, but you commies will claim anyone born in Liverpool is Liverpudlian, even an off-the-boat Somali who picked up the accent. I'd rather have shitty corporate football which people lose interest in over some civic nationalist cuckoldry.

Even in ancient Rome, when the Empire was truly an Empire, chariot racers and gladiators were brought from all over the world, talent was the key, but that doesnt diminish the importance, lets say, of the gladiator school at Capua (which we all know due to some Thracian cough cough). This is not a new one, can we speak of capitalism in ancient Rome because there were private teams, private schools or entrepreneurs who headhunted talent where they could find it? Its all in the globalisation or "3continent-ation"(Africa, Europe and Asia) which was then such a vivid reality. I saw this too, France national team, more blacks than whites, in Romania many black football players came since let say 10 years, but you cant stop them based on xenophoby, the flow of talent is natural and it will always be, unless radical xenophoby will one day rule the world.

Well, to be fair, Bilbao brings people from the whole autonomic region, not only the city itself. But yeah, it's quite a good example there Anyway, gathering people from a single city with enough skills can be hard and could make their competitive level decrease, so big clubs have no choice but to look for external talents as well. This talent can bring new dimensions and interest to sports, not all has to be negative Tito.

Well i watched football for some time already, and i can tell you that nowdays tactics are lot more open and creative and a lot more about attack, games now are way less tactical and way more risky than used to be ten years ago. the only problem is with the open game and after so many years of commercialing football there are huge disparities in the leagues between the clubs. besides, killing football teams just for the romantics of local players is barbaric, i expected more than you tito

No. I don't usually say this, for the sake of debate and conversation with people, as opinions are not the same. But you are all wrong here. Teams were more competitive in the Cold War, because they were HOME-based, that's why it was called a team, and it show whether they are good or bad when they meet teams from other cities. When Liverpool played vs Manchester City you KNOW Liverpoolians battles Manchesterians for the cup. By bringing foreigners just because they are 'talent' you DISTORT competitiveness and thus match results won't mean anything anymore, just another number on the display. No one can dissaprove scientific fact that a local community of few thousand people can have 20 talented people for local team, and 20 talented children for youth team. That outsider would be better if he play for his local team, and then face the opponents like that team he was supposed to go. Then we can see who is more talented. ------------- If not, you'll end up like clans on Atwar, cw players all stacking in 2 clans fighting against each other while every other clan lose cw against them because all talented were picked up by the top clans. And that circle will go on and on, clans training hard to become competitive only for top clans to invite them to join, no matter how hard clans train, their members will leave for top 2 clans so they have to recruit again and train them only for top clans to take them again. Then they cry how game is dead or not enough trainers to teach lowranks, while in fact players leave and won't stay to play. If you think i'm wrong then tell me one clan that did not evaporate in the last 2 years beside Illyria and Mortal Kombat (even they died few weeks ago)

You suggest a "rural-isation" of football, a "get back to the roots" thing. This is not possible anymore, as every sport, this evolved in time, who knows, maybe football will be a niche sport in 100 years, -- And not everybody goes in 1-2-3 clans on top, some, like tbt, play cws selectively and very cautious, many clans died, but there is resistence to the great competitive clans, let talents be amassed in these clans, idc, I wont join them just because they are stronger. I wont join them begging for training as some did, I dont find any honor in that. They go their way, "local, niche clans" go their way, but there must be a resistance, always, some contenders you know to these clans. There is a grain of truth, tho, in the second part of your last comment, sadly.

In that sense, football hasn't changed a bit But who cares about watching football, go play it instead. It's so much better!

Maybe it didn't 'evolve' but 'degenerate' over time. I don't see putting private money into sports as 'evolving', though i don't mind if someone donate to the local team for dresses and balls for example. If rich people want to invest in sports, they can open private sport schools or clubs, but not buy CITY team and bring foreigners to play, that is degeneration. I lost hope in sports, i never liked it like some people, but i enjoyed to watch it. All is see now on football games are nazis and skinheads chanting and fighting, throing red flares, police dresses as from robocop movie and football players chasing drones with flags. I'll rather watch Colosseum gladiators kill each other to death because it makes more sense.
In 2011 when clans were added, every strong player went to SRB Empire(in/ we believe in), they had 10 r10 members while the rest of clans had ranks 3, 5 and some even r8. How to compete then, lowrank clans could not recruit because every who had premium, could talk english and was r8 and up joined SRB. Why joining some weak new clan when you can join old and strong. Like migrants go to Europe, why stay in weak poor countries when they can go to rich strong Europe, why bother building up your own when you can simply move to already developed one.
