Surrender or abandon

Surrender = still earn SP.
Abandon = earn Nothing.
Both = Lost games tally.
What is the point of Abandon ?
As it stands = No Point = get rid of it.
Or am i missing some vital thing ?

Abandon will treat the game as if you were never in it so it doesn't show up on your profile.

... as played game, but shows in overall stats (games abandoned).

Shows as Lost Games!
have looked at a few random players stats,
look at played games/abondoned % & lost games=it shows(Lost games).
equates to a false reading(lost/won).
may be irrelevant to most but for those with particular ocd tendencies = It Rankles ! !
